# Brand Visibility

> See how your brand performs across all tracked prompts, against competitors, and by topic.

**Brand Visibility** is the brand-wide view of prompt monitoring. It combines the data from all your tracked prompts and competitors. It is in the **Monitor** group of the AXP dashboard sidebar.

## Filters

* **Date range:** The default range is the last 30 days.
* **Filter agent:** Show the data for all platforms or for one platform.

Brand Visibility counts only the responses to prompts that do not mention your brand. A prompt that mentions your brand almost always gets a response that mentions your brand, so it does not show how visible you are.

## Headline metrics

Five cards show the main metrics. Each card shows the value for the date range, the value for the previous period of the same length, and the change.

| Card | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **AI visibility** | The percentage of answered responses that mention your brand |
| **Share of voice** | Your brand mentions as a percentage of all brand mentions |
| **Average position** | The average rank of your brand in the responses that mention it. Lower is better, so a decrease is an improvement. |
| **Citation rate** | How often the responses cite your domains |
| **Sentiment score** | How positive the responses are about your brand |

For definitions, refer to the [metrics and fields reference](https://docs.thepublive.com/axp/monitor/metrics.md).

## Visibility over time

A chart shows your brand and your tracked competitors over the date range. Select a metric to change the chart:

* **Visibility**
* **Share of voice**
* **Position**
* **Citation rate**
* **Sentiment**

For position, the chart uses the average of all responses on each day.

## Top performing brands

A table under the chart shows how the top brands perform in the responses to your prompts. Each row shows visibility, share of voice, position, citations, citation rate, and sentiment, with the change from the previous period.

## Brand leaderboard

The leaderboard ranks brands against each other. Each row shows the mentions, citations, average position, citation rate, and average sentiment of the brand.

Select the metric for the ranking:

| Metric | Ranks first |
| - | - |
| **Mentions** (default) | The brand with the most mentions |
| **Citations** | The brand with the most citations of its domains |
| **Position** | The brand with the lowest average position. Brands with no position go to the end. |
| **Citation rate** | The brand with the highest citation rate |
| **Sentiment** | The brand with the highest sentiment score |

AXP ranks all brands before it shows the top of the list. So a brand with few mentions can still lead the leaderboard for position.

## Head-to-head

Compare your brand with one competitor at a time. Select a different competitor to change the comparison. The table compares share of voice, AI visibility, citations, sentiment, and average position. Sentiment shows as a label: **Positive**, **Neutral**, or **Negative**.

## Brand insights

Brand insights shows your performance by topic, so you can see where you are strong or weak.

* Each topic row shows its share of voice and position.
* Expand a topic to see its prompts. Each prompt row shows its mentions, citations, share of voice, and position. Click a prompt to open its [analytics](https://docs.thepublive.com/axp/monitor/prompt-analytics.md).
* A topic shows up to 20 prompts, with the most mentioned prompts first. Click **See more** to open the [prompt list](https://docs.thepublive.com/axp/monitor/track-prompts.md#topics), filtered to that topic.
* Click the view icon on a topic to open the prompt list, filtered to that topic.
* You can search the table. You can also download it.

## Charts

Every chart on this page has these controls:

* Point to the info icon to see what the chart measures.
* Point to a legend item to show its line clearly. The other lines become dim.
* Download the chart as a PNG image.
