# AI Streams overview

> How AI Streams publishes governed, schema-rich content designed to be cited by AI.

AI Streams is an AI-native content engine that publishes new, governed, schema-rich pages to a `/streams` section on your own domain (you can name it `/feeds`, `/insights`, `/blogs`, or anything else, no migration is needed). Where [AXP Edge](/axp/axp-edge/overview) makes what you already have readable to AI, AI Streams builds new content specifically to be cited.

## The four layers of AI visibility

When a buyer asks AI for a recommendation, the model doesn't just "find" a brand: it has to access, prefer, trust, and then choose it.

| Layer | Question it answers | What determines it |
| ---------------------------------- | ------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 1. Discover (Machine Foundation) | Can AI read it? | AI crawlers don't reliably render JavaScript, so server-side rendering, schema, and structured data decide whether content is part of the AI-readable web at all. |
| 2. Understand (Machine Preference) | Does it prefer you? | Crawlers and agents prefer lightweight HTML over heavy JS: lower token usage renders faster into an AI answer. |
| 3. Trust (Entity & Trust Layer) | Does it trust you? | Factual, entity-rich signals and schema quality drive whether a brand is surfaced in AI-generated answers at all. |
| 4. Choose (Decision Layer) | Are you the answer? | When buyers ask for recommendations or comparisons, this layer determines whether your brand gets cited or a competitor does. |

## What a `/streams` section is

AI Streams publishes pages into a subdirectory on your own domain: governed, schema-rich content built around the questions your buyers actually ask AI. Because it lives on your domain, citations point back to you directly rather than to a third-party site.

## Outcome metrics

AI Streams reports on outcomes that map to AI-era pipeline, not vanity traffic:

* **Citations %**: what share of your target prompts return your brand in an AI-cited response.
* **Share of Voice**: your citations versus named competitors across the same agreed query set.
* **Sentiment**: whether AI describes your brand as positive, neutral, or negative.
